A real sunshine and showers day today.
These days I find most frustrating as you can bet the more interesting
birds will appear just as the sun disappears behind a particularly large
cloud. Had a few sharp showers but when the sun came out it was lovely. |

I have a pair of Coal tit that are the
most frequant visitors. Sometimes no sun can have its advantages as
anyone who has tried to photograph these b irds will testify. |

Squirrels, woodpigeons and
Magpies were getting a real nuisance. The Magpies seem to have gone,
the squirrels are easily scared off and the pigeons I think prefer the
plot holders brassicas to my seed. This one though seems to like what
is on the menu. |

With the Magpies gone the Nuthatches are
now coming in more often. Sometimes the pair of them come in together
and like to keep me on my toes. Sometimes (as seen in the header above)
one will sit in the tree and just watch the world go round. The one
above sat there for a full five minutes preening and just watching.
I have never seen one so still for so long! |

Bluetit photos are ten a penny and finding
one that stands out is hard. I loved the pose of this little guy though,
so plucky! |

| I recently put in a new post in the hope that the robins
would come and display or sing on it. The robins do use it but sadly
they have yet to perform for me. Maybe another day..... |
