2008 - "One week" |
| |
Have been busy working on my allotment
and really havent had much time for birding. The top plot where my wild
flower meadow is to be is now finished, levelled and ready for sowing
which I will do in the next two weeks. I have kept an eye open though
but birds seem thin on the ground with no sign of the Nuthatches at
all. So here are a collection of photos taken over the last week when
I have had a moment. |

The Coal tits are by far the commonest
bird at my feeders. There is a pair of them and they work very hard
taking food and hiding it. When there is nothing else to see you can
bet they will be there. |

The few birds that have been around have
been very bold and because I work near to the feeding station have become
quite tame. The Dunnoks here never skulk in the undergrowth but come
right out and seem totally unphased by my presence. |

The robins have now paired
up as they are much more tolerant of each other. I have been trying
to photograph one singing but so far all I have managed is a poor shot
in poor light. |

When all else fails point your camera at
the nearest Grey Squirrel as there are certainly plenty of those around.... |
