"Cant
wait to see..." |
| |
Have been away for the last
five days and cannot wait to see what is happening with the Black swans
and the Grebes. At first glance across the lake at the grebes I can
see that some of the chicks are still alive but how many? Anxiously
I watch through my camera and count. One...two...yes all three are still
alive! My heart beats faster and I am so very pleased that none have
died whilst I was away. They are now seven days old and regularly being
fed by the male. They are swimming independantly and look fit and strong.

| They are still
so very far away. The colours out on the water are beautiful today.
I so wish they were closer. |

|
| Over at the Black
swan nest all is well. The female is still sitting with no sign of any
cygnets yets. They are due any day now. |

| |
As ever the male is out doing
what he does best; pulling up lilly pads and leaving them in piles behind
him. I am so pleased that I havent missed the cygnets hatching. From
now on I will have to pay daily visits. |
