"On
the look out" |
| |
Still nothing to report on the
Black swan front and all is v ery quiet on the nest. The male was sitting
today whilst the female took a bath. |

Out on the lake
there were alot of Moorhens around. Found three well grown juveniles
sat together on a sunken branch. Sadly as I approached alittle nearer
they swam away but one brave bird remained. |

I love to photograph the adults
too amongst the lillypads. I like how their red beaks are complimented
by the greens and yellows. |

The numbers of Grey herons
moving in is also on the increase. Grey herons are always bad news for
young cygnets so whilst it is good to see them I dont want them lingering
on the swan pond should any cygnets appear. For now they seem to be
keeping their distance. |
