Pochard numbers were some of
the highest I have ever seen at Martinmere. Flight opportunities habe
always seemed scarce so when they took to the air I was thrilled. They
are strong, direct fliers that form good formations. |

The light was so
good that I thought even mallards deserved alittle attention. |

Several Goldeneye
however evaded me. By the time I saw them they were coming on strong
and climbing too high to get a decent angle. So this is one close up
I am still striving for. |
