Why is it that weather forecasts
are only seem to get it right when it is for rain! Set off for Martinmere
expecting bad weather today so when the sun was shining when I arrived
I was thrilled! Added to that there were Pintails flying around in tight
formations. Seeing rain clouds looming very close ont he horizon I got
busy. Only once did the birds fly close enough for the shot I really
wanted. |

Alot of Pintails
around today and some large groups down on the water all busying doing
their courtship displays. |

Most of the Pink
footed geese seem to have gone south but there are still large numbers
of Greylag around. Far more voacl than the Pink feet they make an almighty
noise as they descend. |

Half an hour was
all I got. Then the rain clouds came over and sealed the fate for the
rest of the day. During the afternoon there were plenty of opportunitites
to photograph the Whooper swans in flight but the light was flat and
totally uninspiring. Will just have to wait for the sun to shine again. |
