"Honey
I shrunk the kids!" |

Our weather and light can be
so dull that I am always looking for ways in which I can inject colour
into my photographs. Backlighting can often create some wonderful effects. |

The setting sun
can also create a colourful backdrop. |

Here the Whoopers flew low
enough to create a composition whereby the pale purple of the sky matched
the purple hues in the landscape perfectly. |

It was the scene
below that really appealed to my sense of humour. The sun was going
down fast and along with the adult Whooper swans swan two mallard hybrid
ducks. It really made me think of the title "Honey I shrunk the
kids!" |
