"The
love of light" |

Good light is what we as photographers
always seek. Living in the UK this is an elusive thing and is to be
taken advantage of at any opportunity. Light in the early morning or
late afternoon is best and with this in mind I set out for an hour mid
afternoon. I have spent several years studying light and in road testing
my camera further I wanted photographs taken in the best light possible
and with the most challenging of exposures. |

Mute swans bathing in bright
light is always a challenge for exposures. Watched a couple of birds
preening and bathing but didnt find it challenging enough and so I moved
on to find a different target. |

There are plenty of Black headed
gulls at the park and plenty of people throwing bed in order to attract
them. Found some trees with good foliage colour as a background and
waited.. |

With the photograph
above I was very impressed with the quality that this camera has given
me. Most of the images I took today, all handheld were consistently
sharp. The fast AF makes birds in flight so much easier. |

This time I only had gulls
to point my camera at but I am encouraged by the shots I took today
and believe this camera is capable of so much more. |
