Bluetits feeding

-straight from the nest

May 31st 2005 and your babies have just left the nest. They are still very vulnerable and unable to fend for themselves. They are also very hungry! You and your mate find a good stand of reeds and set to work stripping them apart in order to find enough insects to feed your babies. The race is on but who will be exhausted first?

Whilst working flat out do you feed those babies that are closest to you or do you try to share it around?

But you draw the line at other peoples kids trying to gate crash. The juvenile great tit (right) was definatly not going to get a share!

Well some of the rushes are almost stripped out but the kids are still hungry, so you will have to go off in search of some fresh groceries. Its all go and the day is far from over but you are doing really well. Heres hoping that the kids will follow ;)
