Early spring 2007 and the Avocets are back in large numbers at Marshside. Eight Avocets can be seen at close range mating, displaying and fighting. Photographing them in flight is not easy as they are very fast and always seem to be flying away from you. The photograph above shows just how beautiful their wing markings are.
