Psilos Flight photography

Bamburgh castle, Bamburgh can be found in the county of Northumberland in NE England. On a trip there during a family holiday I found three pairs of Fulmars taking up residence on the towering battlements and spent a very pleasurable hour watching them soaring round on the thermals. I do not know whether they were breeding there but as this was the end of May and they were all mature adults I imagine this is likely. I think this grand castle makes a very impressive backdrop for these very sophisticated looking birds.
