It is so rare that we get Barnacle geese here in the north
west that getting a chance to photograph them in flight on a very
grey day in mid winter was a real treat. These are actually a feral
flock that stays around all year round but usually they stay so far
away you cannot get any decent photos of them. The flock ocontains
approximately forty birds including a red breasted goose and a barnacle
X Canada hybrid but they are not included in this composition. Along
with Brents the Barnacle is one of my favourite geese in flight. Photographed
