February 2008 and I am trying to capture one of the Nuthatches in flight on my allotment. I tried for an hour but they only ever flew away from me or towards me and never to the side which is what I needed. Happily the Bluetits were more obliging. Today the light was superb and I jacked the iso up to give me a shutter speed of 1/3200. A speed required if you are ever going to stop these tiny birds.
