Psilos Flight photography

Moses Gate, Bolton December 2008 - Whilst ice can provide some great backdrops for birds on the ground its not so easy to incorporate it with birds in flight. Low sun was causing some lovely effect through wings as the birds landed and so I went for that. Predictably thereafter no birds came close enough in the space I wanted so I went for a group of landing gulls instead. I love how each bird is in a different stage of landing.
