May 2006 and I took a trip round the Farne
Islands off the coast of Northumberland, UK. The Farne Islands is made
up of many islands but we only landed on Inner Farne the closest of
the islands to land. Here there is a large colony of Sandwich tern and
they were busy pairing up and nest building. I think in flight terns
are one of the most elegant and spectacular of birds. |
