Martinmere January 2008 - Sometimes at Martinmere the birds can be very quiet with few flying around. Then along comes the tractor and all the birds are up in the air. It often pushes birds which normally keep their distance closer to the hides. This female Shoveler was unsure where to go and hovered for several seconds before landing. Just long enough for me to take advantage.
