"Going for gold"

Alerted by the alarm call of several swallows we knew there was a raptor about. Suddenly from the hedgerows burst this female sparrowhawk clutching a juvenile Golfinch. We followed her flight path to a distant grass bank where she proceeded to eat her meal.
