Martinmere January 2009 - Patterns in flight be it in the sky or on landing like with this shot are what I am always looking for. The patterns are missed in the blink of an eye and yet when captured show the true beauty of nature. This shot shows three juvenile Whooper swans coming into land and if I photographed birds landing on the same spot of water a thousand times I probably would not get them in this wonderful composition again. Such amazing birds they are.
