Martinmere January 5th 2009 - I am always looking for new ways to present birds in flight. The more creative side of me looked to the sinking sun for inspiration. Shooting so that the birds are back lit or silhouetted as shown here can create some wonderful effects. The strong lines of the wings and the background give context to this shot showing the sheer power of these birds as they come into land.
