Martinmere November 2008 - One of the disadvantages
of shooting with a prime lens is that there is no zoom so that when
larger birds get nearer it is difficult to get good dynamic close ups.
Tracking the birds as they appear over the fields it seems to take an
age for them to reach the lake but the speed at which they arrive is
remarkable and you have seconds only to target the birds that you really
want. The optimum range at which you shoot is crucial if you want to
capture detail and a photo that conveys the majesty of these birds. |
