"Wigeon"

January 24th 2008 Martinmere - Wigeon are not the most artful fliers. Their flight is loose and messy looking and rarely forms nice formations. They also rarely fly close enough to get any real detail so when one flock was pushed closer by the high winds I was only too delighted. Not my best flight shot but capturing their colours in the right light and at the right angle is never easy and it is different enough to be included here.
