Doffcocker lodge, Bolton June 28th 2009 and the Common terns
are coming to the end of their breeding season. Two short months since
they arrived and in the next week or so they will be gone. I have
been taking advantage of the beautiful weather to brush up on my very
rusty flight skills. My camera I think needs a clean or a service
as it is a little sticky on the rapid fire but I was still able to
get some of the shots I wanted. This female tern has just seen her
mate return to the raft with a fish and is going to see if she can
get a share of the catch.
