Martinmere September 2009 - Migration is in full swing and Lapwing numbers are growing. These birds can frequantly be seen flying in large flocks often going up high to avoid the attentions of a passing Peregrine falcon. Flight scenes like this in my opinion are only really effective when shown in a large format. Here with the dramatic clouds it really gives a feeling of freedom as the birds fly across the sky.
