"Stealth harrier"

Martinmere October 2nd 2009 - It is always clear when watching for any bird of prey how they are so successful. You would think that for moderatly large birds they would be easy to see but this is often not the case. This Marsh harrier seemed to appear out of nowhere and was suddenly and rather lazily circling right in front of the hide where I was sitting. She certainly didnt seem to be in a hurry either giving me a good opportunity to photograph her
