Martinmere September 2009 - Naturally light plays a huge part in flight shots but if you want to capture the subtle colours and fine details in these geese you need good but soft light. You also need the geese to be flying across at just the right angle for the light to catch them to get the shot. Thankfully these geese were in the right spot at the right time.
