Martinmere November 6th 2011 - Sat watching thousands of
Pink footed geese descend down upon the mere it struck me that for
the youngsters, born that summer, arriving for the first time, must
be somewhat daunting. They follow the adults faithfully and come down
on a territory for the winter that is very unfamiliar to them. I wanted
to create a photograph that portrayed the feeling of long distances
travelled, wide open spaces and a very unfamilir territory.
