Martinmere November 2011 - Migration is in full swing and
thousands of Pink footed geese decend upon the grassland behind the
mere. The afternoon is drawing to a close and as the geese arrive
I am looking straight into the sun. All I can see is their sillouettes.
Experimenting with exposures I over expose by two whole stops. The
result is geese that are so faint you can hardly see them, but more
unexpectedly is the soft spectrum of light that is also captured.
They say white light is made up of the whole spectrum of the rainbow
and it is shown here in all its glory! I have just deepened it alittle
afterwards so that we can see it more clearly.
