The range of birds that can be found next to or on water is actually quite vast. In order to break it up I have therefore created this new gallery.

Having been a city girl all my life I have spent very little time by the sea where many gulls and waders can be seen at their best. In the past also, the limitations of my camera has prevented me from taking quality photos of birds at a greater distance. Now having taken that leap into the world of the digital slr and bought a Canon 300d I hope to get out there much more often and uncover a whole new world of bird photography.
