Psilos Butterflies

This well known migratory butterfly can be seen throughout the UK in just about every habitat. Each spring these butterflies make their migration northwards from North Africa and continental Europe. The common nettle is an important food source for the lava though food supplies for the adults include flowers such as buddleias and Michaelmas-daisies and also rotting fruit. A late flying butterfly often seen into November.
