Martinmere is one of nine sites owned
by the Wetlands and Wildfowl trust in the UK. The WWT is a leading
conservation organisation saving wetlands for wildlife and people
across the world. In its private collection it is home to over 100
species of wildfowl but on the wild mere in the winter it is home
to tens of thousands of Pink footed geese, Whooper swans and many
species of ducks who all migrate south for the winter. |
