Pennington flash is a 200 hectares country
park located between Lowton and Leigh in Greater Manchester. The 70
hectare lake was created at the turn of the 20th century by coal mining
subsidence and flooding. It is now an extensive nature reserve nationally
renowned for its birdlife. |
