Lotherton Hall

Lotherton hall is located in Aberford, NE Leeds in the county of Yorkshire. Previously owned by the Gascoigne family it was given to Leeds council in 1968. There is a large stately house that boasts fine furniture and paintings with collections of ceramics and superb displays of costume. There are extensive grounds which hold impressive gardens, a deer park and a large bird garden which houses over 200 species.

At the time of writing (February 2008) I have visited only the bird gardens which are impressive enough but hope throughout the year to add photographs of the whole estate and gardens.
