Barrows Goldeneye (Bucephala islandica) |
A medium sized diving duck that is very
similar to its cousin, the European Goldeneye. Found mainly in north
west North America though will often turn up further east during the
winter months. Its natural habitat can be found on lakes, saltwater
bays and ponds and they live on a diet of mollusks, crustaceans, fish
and insects. |
