The Black headed Gull like most of their species are opportunists and will scavenge just about anything. They can regularly be found in huge numbers on rubbish tips. Their natural diet consists of worms, insects, fish and carrion. The photo below shows a juvenile Herring gull harrassing a adult black headed gull.
