Comb duck

(Sarkidiornis melanotos)

Also known as Knob billed duck originating from central and southern Africa and northern South America. They are quite shy birds though in the wild may be seen in large flocks outside the breeding season. The extent of black on the head varies considerably with the males head being almost totally black in some males. The bird in the photo below is the male identified by the large comb on the top of his bill. This is absent in the female.
