Large, noisy gulls found throughout the
year around our coasts. Found inland on rubbish tips, fields, large
reservoirs and lakes particularly during the winter months. The young
are mottled brown and the legs of the adults are pink. It is an opportunist
feeder and will eat anything from chicks off cliffs to any food they
can scavenge. This species have suffered moderate declines over the
past 25 years and over half of their UK breeding population is confined
to fewer than ten sites.
