Lesser white frontedGoose

(Anser erythropus)

The Lesser white fronted goose is a very endangered species in the wild. There are many reasons for this but the two most damaging influences comes from hunting and poaching. Its breeding grounds can be found across the Arctic areas of Asia and Europe. Its winter months are spent from southeastern Europe to southern China. Outside the breeding season they are very sociable birds also found in the company of Bean and White fronted geese.
