Silver Bahama Pintail

(Anas bahamensis fonna alba)

Widely distributed. It is often found in the Caribbean, West Indies and coastal regions of northern South America, including the Galapagos. It can be found on freshwater or brackish ponds where it lives on a diet of seeds, snails, insects, roots and tubers. The silver bahama pintail is a colour variant of the bahama pintail. The females are slightly smaller in size with duller plumage and bill colour. Size: 38-48 cm.
