Fairly widespread resident and winter visitor. Small sharp billed finch with yellow, green and black colouring. Male is brighter with black forehead and bib. Breeds in coniferous woodlands and plantations. During the winter can be found in birches and alders, and will visit gardens for peanuts. Length 12 cm (4.75")
