Chinese Spotbill (Anas poecilorhyncha zonorhyncha) |
This duck is native to south east Russia and the
far east. Its habitat is to be found on inland and coastal wetlands,
preferring open, low ground, shallow freshwater lakes and marshes with
abundant vegetation. It is a widespread and common duck though in some
areas it is heavily hunted. It is often to be found in groups of up
to 50 birds where it will mix easily with other dabbling ducks. Sexes
are alike. |
