Treecreeper

Certhia familiaris

A widespread resident bird found in coniferous and deciduous woods, small copses, parks and gardens with mature trees. Found exclusively in trees it will creep slowly up one trunk then fly down lower to the next one. In winter it often joins flocks of tits and other small birds. Usually heard by its high pitched whistle before it is seen. A bird often found in very shady places, making them very difficult to photograph.
